Between May 29 and June 1, the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela hosted around a hundred researchers in the eighth edition of the Quantum Information in Spain (ICE-8) conference.

During the four days of the conference, the main lines of research in the field of quantum information science and technology were addressed, including quantum computing, quantum communications, quantum metrology and detection, as well as other instrumental technologies.

Among the invited speakers were Cécile Yu (QuTech/TU Delft), Daniel Barredo (CSIC), Daniele Ottaviani (CINECA-Bologna), Dennis Schlippert (Leibniz University Hannover), Joaquín Fernández Rossier (INL-Braga), Sofía Vallecorsa (CERN), Valerio Pruneri (ICFO-Barcelona), and Vedran Dunjko (Leiden University).

The event was organized by the Supercomputing Center of Galicia (CESGA), the Galician Institute of High Energy Physics (IGFAE), the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), and Quantum Spain.
